RECIPE'S ethos of keeping our projects small, simple and sustainable is carried in to every area of what we do. We have found through experience that accessing any funding that has specific conditions attached including outcomes being measured, specific criteria and targets makes things more difficult and complex to manage for the 2 of us. We found that ticking boxes and filling spreadsheets took up valuable time and negatively impacted on the spiritual principles of simple service to the community. With this in mind we have decided to try and be entirely funded by generous donations from the community that we serve. We will however look for any funding that does not have all of the above attached to it. All monies received will go into our RECIPE business account and all expenditure from this account is receipted and entered on to a spreadsheet. In the interest of things being simple, clear and transparent.
